We hiked to the top via the Piper Trail. Emily picked the most amazing airbnb, which meant we had incredible views all weekend.
Best Game: Backgammon
Payson and Emily taught me this 5,000-year-old game, which their families played growing up.
Best Food: Portland, ME
Scales, a new restaurant in downtown Portland and Harakeeset Lunch in Freeport were my favorites so far. I fully recognize that I risked Sam’s life (he’s allergic to shellfish), but oh well.
New Brewery: Aeronaut in Allston, MA
Aeronaut Brewing kicked off a series of summer Wednesdays at their new location in Allston. Food trucks, live music, adorable pups… definitely worth the trek to Allston.
Most Adorable Animals: Smiling Hill Farm

Best Sunset: Scituate, MA
Just a few steps from Emily’s parents’ house. Definitely one of the best sunsets I’ve seen in a very long time.
Most Relaxing Activity: Sailing in the Charles
Wandered to the MIT Sailing Pavillion with Liz and her friends, and got to sail on the Charles for the first time ever. It was bizarre to have such a relaxing, quiet experience in the heart of the city.
Messiest Kitchen Activity: DIY Everything
Steph G and Drew picked a flat of strawberries in Maine, so a group of us went over to help them make homemade strawberry-basil jam… and then we decided to crank out some homemade pasta, too. The kitchen was messy but it was delicious!
